The First Trip of a Lifetime Together

For my honeymoon, when I do get married, I would like to go to a quiet corner of Fiji, or another similar country. Being on an empty beach in a small hut with my significant other if exactly how I imagine a honeymoon should be, because it presents the perfect environment to really focus all your attention on the love you have for your new spouse and the life you will soon start together. I think such a quiet, relaxing atmosphere would really give me and my future spouse the perfect opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and would provide amazing memories for future reminiscing.

A Moment to Be Proud Of

I consider one of my great achievements to be making it into All-State Honor Choir in my high school years. Music has always been my life, and when I decided to try out for this prestigious group I practiced incredibly hard in both sight-reading and my solo performance. Making it in was definitely a great achievement, because all of my hard work was rewarded. However, the actual experience of completing the rehearsals and performing with the choir was definitely my greatest achievement, simply because the hard work I put into preparing for the audition did not even compare the countless hours and energy put into rehearsing for the performance. It was truly a rewarding experience, and I will always be proud of what I achieved during that time.

Preparing for Life Under the Sea

Living underwater would be quite a challenge for any type of fish, I would have to say. The dangers of being preyed upon or being caught by fishermen are enough to convince me not to choose becoming a fish. I would choose to be a dolphin, because they are social creatures, for the most part are not preyed upon by the majority of the other ocean creatures, and are treasured by most humans. I feel like this would be a safe choice for me to live out 2 years in the water. Besides, dolphins are fast swimmers and playful animals. They seem to have an enjoyable life.

Heaven (Off) Earth

To many Christians and Catholics, heaven is a place where you rise to after death. It is often pictured as beautiful, serene, and, well, heavenly. Countless artists have portrayed heaven as full of clouds, angels, harps, and light. The common image of heaven is the very definition of eternal peace. I, however, have formed a different opinion on the matter over the course of my life. Stepping away from conventional thoughts, I decided to evaluate early on in my teenage years what my idea of heaven was. I came to the conclusion that, to me, heaven is a state of being, and not a physical place. I believe that, after death, your soul is released and set free. I believe that heaven exists wherever souls dwell, because I refuse to accept the idea that heaven is a physical place where people will be “rewarded” for the good done in their lives. The whole idea of that does not sit well with me.
