There are many types of dog toys out there on the market. There are ropes, balls, stuffed animals, plush dog toy and many others. Dog toys are important for continued development in dogs. Ropes, for example, help build the muscles in a puppies’ neck when you tug with him. Ropes can also be made with special fibers and chemicals in order to help clean the dog’s teeth. Playing with a dog with dog toys is also very important to the dog’s continued social development. By playing with your dog you are teaching him how to respond to commands, while reinforcing those responses with entertainment.

While many dogs can simply be trained to get into a vehicle and be still, for many dogs, sitting still for any length of time is simply not an option; having them moving around in a vehicle is both impractical and unsafe. Likewise, some smaller dogs may not be comfortable around people or other dogs and may be better transported or taken to necessary destinations (such as the V.E.T.S.) in dog backpack carriers. These are available in a range of sizes to suit any dog, from the humble ventilated cardboard box (unfortunately extremely chewable) to sleek lightweight aluminum pods with seemingly enough features and extras to put a modern family car to shame.
