The Three Main Food Groups

If I only were allowed to eat three things for the rest of my life, the first would have to be apples.  Apples are filling, delicious, and I do not think that I could ever really get tired of them.  Plus, there are many different kinds of apples to choose from.  The third would be chocolate.  Like any girl, I can’t live without a block of dark chocolate now and then.  It makes you happy when you’re sad, and makes a great day even better.  The third would be chili.  Whenever I go out to restaurants, chili is my go-to meal.  Plus, it’s really good for you.  So at least I could stay somewhat healthy with all that chocolate.

Starry Night

The most beautiful thing that I have ever seen is when I took a field trip with my college class to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and saw Vincent Van Gogh’s painting Starry Night in person for the first time.  Almost everyone has seen an image of that painting.  It’s almost as famous as the Mona Lisa.  To have the original painting in front of you is awe-inspiring.  It really does take your breath away.  The thought of Vincent Van Gogh himself laboring over each brushstroke, and being able to actually see each and every brushstroke, was absolutely amazing.

Big Winner

If I were to win the lottery, my life would be a lot more comfortable.  I wouldn’t need to buy a huge, fancy house, or an amazing car, but I would definitely pay off my college loans.  I would even enroll in a master’s program.  It would be nice to not have to worry so much about money, and be able to go out to eat once in a while without worrying where the money will come from.  I would also help my brothers and sisters with their respective debts as well, and start a college fund for my nieces.

Christmas Poker

I am the seventh child of eight, and my family has this weird Christmas tradition.  Every year, we each always get a large tin of Hershey’s kisses in our stockings.  After we’re finished opening all of our presents, we sit around the dining room table and play poker, using our Hershey’s kisses to bet with.  By the end of the game, I usually have lost almost all my kisses, but I always have so much fun.  It’s nice to have a tradition with my brothers and sisters every year, especially now that we’re all getting older and its harder and harder to stay in touch during the year. Hopefully, this will be a tradition that I can pass on to my children and that they will grow to look forward to as well.
